I hope you experienced an amazing Christmas period, and a safe and Happy New Year! Yup, we know its 2019, and has been for a couple of weeks, but I had a very relaxing break over the holiday season, and I'm now ready to get on the 2019 horse and ride that pony all the way to 2020!
If you are anything like me, you have MANY ideas for how 2019 is going to be so much better than 2018. Starting with perhaps eating better....well, maybe just eating less chocolate.....ok.....maybe not less chocolate, but what if I join a gym instead to offset the chocolate!?
But whatever you decide is your next steps to manifest a year of abundance and goodness, I have put together the following four worksheets to help you work through some self-reflection and releasing of the year that was. Reflecting and releasing then allows you reset and realize your potential in 2019, and, if all goes to plan, stops the mind from self-sabotaging your efforts!
Wouldn't that make for an amazing 2019!
1. Self-reflection of 2018
We are two weeks into 2019, and you might think 2018 is so last year, but if you want to take better care of yourself in 2019, I recommend taking time to pause and reflect on 2018, and the year that was.
2. Release 2018 ready for 2019
Once you have reflected on 2018 and the year that was, use the worksheet below to release yourself from your own mind, and the thoughts that play on repeat, harming your self-worth and self-care.
3. Reset for Renewal in 2019
When we are hurt, we go into protection mode, and shut down important areas of our wellbeing, in order to protect ourselves. The previous two worksheets reflected on your previous year, and asked you to release what no longer serves you. This next worksheet resets you, ready for renewal in 2019.
4. Realize your dreams in 2019
Imagine if you no longer self-sabotaged any dreams that come to mind in 2019. To take this step, you need to take action. The first four steps are these worksheets, including the fourth and final worksheet below for recognizing and realizing your dreams.
5. Move your body in 2019
The four worksheets above will help you reflect and release 2018, and then reset and realize your dreams in 2019, however there is a fifth step recommended by Gloria Latham (Kundalini Yoga Teacher) if you want to sustain this New Year - new you attitude! You could use Kundalini Yoga to not just stretch using yoga, but move your body by activating the Third Chakra, the Solar Plexus, which is the powerhouse of untapped Kundalini Energy potential.
The Solar Plexus Chakra is your Power Center. It's located just above your belly button. It is the center of motivation where we set our intentions and desires. When the power chakra is balanced, one achieves goals, is self-confident and has strong motivation and direction. It is associated with our physical center, personal power, desire, inner-strength, emotions, instincts, and “gut” feelings.
